Known for his integrity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to public safety, he has served in a wide range of critical assignments, including as a SWAT Operator and trained hostage negotiator, bringing experience and professionalism to some of the most sensitive and high-risk situations in policing.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mike has earned numerous honors and certifications, including eight Unit Citations, the Patriot Award in 2018, the Life Saving Award, a Medal of Valor, and PTO of the Year. He is also a highly trained and decorated SWAT operator, with specialized tactical certifications that reflect his advanced skill set and dedication to excellence.

As a lieutenant, Jones has held multiple supervisory roles across the Shreveport Police Department, including the Detective Office, Domestic Violence and Homicide Unit, Electronic Forensic Team, and the Sex Crimes Sergeant.
